Landscape Bed Construction & Planting
Zone controller with weather-based scheduling; drip lines for all new planting beds. -
Sod & Landscape Lighting
Fresh sod installed to tie the finished space together, with carefully placed low-voltage lighting added to highlight plantings, pathways, and key design features after dark.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Project Goals
The homeowner came to us with a clear picture in his head of what his backyard could be — and a specific personal element he wanted honored within the design. The existing backyard needed significant grading work before any of the vision could be realized, and the finished space needed to feel both polished and personal.
From the first consultation, our goal was straightforward: listen closely, design precisely, and execute in a way that delivered exactly what he imagined. The plan centered on regrading the yard, laying a flagstone walkway in crushed granite, building out new landscape beds, and creating a thoughtful dedicated setting for a statue that held real meaning to the homeowner. Sod and landscape lighting were added last to complete the transformation and bring the space to life at every hour.

Phase 1 · ✓ Completed
Site Planning & Design Consultation
Full backyard assessment completed. Grading plan developed to address existing slope and drainage. Walkway routing, bed layouts, and statue placement all mapped and confirmed with the homeowner before breaking ground. Material selections — flagstone, crushed granite, stone edging — finalized.
Phase 2 · ✓ Completed
Site Preparation & Regrading
Backyard regraded to plan elevations. Soil compacted and prepped across all work zones. Bed perimeters established and edging set. Sub-base for flagstone walkway graded and compacted in preparation for stone installation.
Phase 3 · ✓ Completed
Hardscape, Planting, &Sod Installation
Flagstone walkway set in crushed granite with stone edging border installed throughout. Dedicated statue setting constructed and positioned as a focal point within the design. Landscape beds were mulched and planted per approved plan. Sod installed across remaining yard areas to unify the finished space.
Phase 4 · ✓ Completed
Final Results & Outdoor Lighting
Low-voltage lighting system installed with fixtures placed to accent the walkway, highlight plantings, and draw attention to the statue setting as a nighttime focal point. Final grading and cleanup completed, the finished backyard came together exactly as the homeowner envisioned it.
