Complete removal of existing outdated plant material across the property, followed by a fresh landscape design built to complement the home's current aesthetic.
Berm Construction & Tree Screening
Backyard berm built and planted with trees to create natural privacy screening and add dimension to the rear yard.
Planting, Rock & Mulch Installation
All-new plantings installed throughout redesigned beds with decorative rock incorporated for contrast and visual texture alongside fresh mulch.
Landscape Lighting
Low-voltage lighting added throughout to accent plantings and hardscape elements and bring the design to life after dark.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Project Goals

Homeowners Jackie and Curt came to Ascend with landscaping that had simply run its course. The existing plantings were outdated, no longer suited the home’s style, and left the property feeling tired and disconnected. Their goal was a complete reset — a landscape that felt modern, intentional, and like it truly belonged with the home.

Ascend developed a full redesign plan starting from scratch, incorporating a backyard berm for natural screening, all-new planting selections, decorative rock detailing, and landscape lighting to complete the look. The design was treated as a living plan, with refinements made throughout the process to ensure the finished result was as strong in person as it was on paper.

Phase 1 · ✓ Completed

Site Assessment & Landscape Design

Full site evaluation and assessment of existing plant material. Complete landscape design developed for front and rear yards, incorporating new bed layouts, berm placement, plant selections, decorative rock, and lighting plan. Design reviewed and refined with homeowners before work began.

Phase 2 · ✓ Completed

Demolition & Site Preparation

Majority of existing plant material removed from all beds throughout the property. Beds cleared, edged, and regraded as needed to prepare for new design installation. Backyard graded and shaped in preparation for berm construction.

Phase 3 · ✓ Completed

Berm Construction & Planting

Backyard berm constructed and shaped to establish natural screening along the rear yard. Screening trees and all new planting material installed throughout redesigned beds. Decorative rock placed within beds for contrast and definition. Mulch installed throughout all planting areas.

Phase 4 · ✓ Completed

Final Results & Landscape Lighting

Low-voltage landscape lighting installed to accent key plantings and bed features throughout the property. Final design adjustments made in the field to ensure balance and visual cohesion. Site cleanup completed. The finished landscape delivered a dramatic transformation — modern, balanced, and intentional — exactly what Jackie and Curt envisioned.
